Position Overview

As a Pest Control Service Specialist, you will be well-versed in the technical data related to the chemicals utilized and their proper application. You will also need to be knowledgeable about federal, state, and local regulations governing pest management.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining a copy of the Commercial Service manual readily available and adhering to the specified guidelines.
  • Providing service to all assigned customers in accordance with company standards and protocols.
  • Communicating with the office daily as needed for updates.
  • Completing and submitting daily service reports as required.
  • Advising clients of potential issues and keeping management informed of any challenges faced during service routes.
  • Managing an appropriate inventory of pesticides in use and maintaining service records in compliance with EPA standards.
  • Collecting overdue accounts and ensuring service equipment and vehicles are kept in clean and operational condition.
  • Maintaining a safe driving record and assisting on other routes as directed by management.
  • Completing all required training programs within specified timeframes for proper certification.
  • Being available to work flexible hours based on customer needs, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED; a 2 or 4-year degree is preferred.
  • 1-3 months of relevant experience is preferred.
  • The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Licenses or certifications as required by federal, state, or local regulations.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to report any loss of required licenses immediately.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions

The physical demands of this position include:

  • Regularly moving up to 10 pounds and frequently handling 11-20 pounds.
  • Occasionally exerting up to 50 pounds of force to move objects.
  • Using legs and/or arms to ascend or descend ladders and other structures.
  • Maintaining balance on narrow or slippery surfaces.
  • Performing tasks that require bending, crouching, and reaching.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Pay Range: $16.40 - $22.00/hour

Annual Incentive Potential: $960 - $14,210/year

After the initial training period, total annual earning potential may reach up to $81,120, including overtime, incentives, and/or commission pay, depending on performance and assigned routes.
