Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Childcare Provider to join our team at Pennsylvania College of Technology. As a key member of our childcare staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for our young students.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Group Leader in implementing daily program activities that meet the needs of our children.
  • Comply with all safety and security protocols to ensure the well-being of our students.
  • Assist with the arrival and departure of children, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Participate in assessments and parent conferences as needed.
  • Assist with meal and snack service, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, screenings, and parent contacts.
  • Participate in staff development opportunities and attend meetings as required.
  • Provide a positive role model for our students, encouraging parental involvement and a sense of community.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is desired.
  • Two years of experience working with young children (birth to 8 years) is required, unless an Associate degree is held; one year of experience and 15 credit hours in ECE or related discipline is also acceptable.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification is required, or willingness to obtain.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position, with a maximum of 18 hours per week. A background check, State Police, Child Line, FBI fingerprint, and National Sex Offender Registry clearances are required prior to employment. A bi-annual physical exam and pre-employment test for tuberculosis are also required.
