Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at Mt. Olive Pickle Co., Inc. in the Finished Goods Production department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain all qualified pieces of equipment in the department.
  • Coordinate work and resolve production and equipment problems under the supervision of the supervisor.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspection of all equipment.
  • Adjust line speeds as necessary to meet standards and maximize production while maintaining quality.
  • Monitor to assure that all product adheres to food safety and quality critical limits.

Requirements:

  • High school or equivalency required. Additional trades training a strong plus.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English required.
  • Intermediate level computer skills needed.
  • Must be able to work independently and make decisions concerning mathematical and equipment procedures.

Work Environment:

Works inside, subject to some seasonal temperature variation and intermittent wetting from some job tasks. Some contact with grease, ink, dust, and glue. Fumes from hot pepper, ink, glue, and forklifts. Earplugs required due to irritating machinery noise. Head cover and beard cover required. Steel-toed shoes required.
