Billing Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our team in Middletown, KY. As a key member of our Program Support Center, you will be responsible for the timely and efficient billing and collections of account receivables while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and organizational standards.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in medical billing, with a strong understanding of post-acute care billing and reimbursement requirements. Experience with multi-facility healthcare environments is a plus.

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation and sick days, and opportunities for career growth and development.

Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and mail invoices to private pay residents and bill Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers for long term care services
  2. Perform extensive account follow up on unpaid claims using payer websites and portals
  3. Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2 years of billing experience in a medical setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of post-acute care billing and reimbursement requirements
  • Experience with multi-facility healthcare environments a plus
