Hematologist - Cancer Care Specialist

About the Role:
Allina Health is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Hematologist to join our comprehensive, multidisciplinary cancer program. As a Hematologist - Cancer Care Specialist, you will provide services in the north region of the Twin Cities, managing inpatient and outpatient hematology patients, and participating in daily hospital rounding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with patients to improve their health and well-being, practicing in a thoughtful manner that considers cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to case management, actively contributing to the development of processes that promote continuous improvement in patient care and outcomes.
- May participate in peer review and quality assurance, utilizing quality improvement tools to drive excellence in patient care.
Requirements:
- MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Oncology fellowship training program required.
- BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required.
- Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges.
