Job Summary

The Lead Plumbing Technician will provide local market sales support, technical service delivery, and technician development and training. This role is considered the local market Subject Matter Expert for plumbing, piping, or mechanical service disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support sales in estimating and coordinating work with the Service Coordinator.
  2. Establish and maintain clear communications with customers while on and off the customer job sites.
  3. Assist in maintaining inventory and tool procurement for all technicians.
  4. Promote and perform all aspects of Bernhard's safety procedures and policies.
  5. Service, repair, and install all plumbing systems and piping supports per code.
  6. Install and test Backflow Preventers and Medical Gas.
  7. Complete plumbing services in confined space environments.
  8. Comply with federal, state, local building, and plumbing codes by adherence to requirements.
  9. Keep plumbing equipment and tools operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures.
  10. Be able to test all plumbing systems per job specifications.
Requirements
  • Skills of level 3 Plumbing Technician in addition to those listed below.
  • OSHA 30 hour – preferred.
  • Plumbing License.
  • Medical gas license.
  • Backflow prevention license.
  • Ability to use special tools and equipment.
  • Must be able and willing to follow job-site instructions.
  • Lift heavy materials and not be afraid of heights.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent multitasking skills.
  • Willingness to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary.
  • Punctual and diligent in work ethic.
Travel Requirements

0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles. Climbing stairs. Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Operating machinery and/or power tools. Operating motor vehicles. Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind. Noisy environment. Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects from pounds.

Pay Range

USD $50, USD $66,800.00 /Yr.
