Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Plumbing Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will provide local market sales support, technical service delivery, and technician development and training. You will be responsible for coordinating and developing the team on how to profitably execute work, communicate effectively with sub-contractors and customers, and maintain customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Support sales in estimating and provide technical expertise to ensure accurate quotes.
  • Collaborate with the Service Coordinator to schedule and coordinate work, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to technicians on complex issues, ensuring high-quality work and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain clear communications with customers, both on and off the job site, to ensure their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory and tool procurement for all technicians, ensuring they have the necessary resources to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Promote and perform all aspects of Bernhard's safety procedures and policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and customers.
  • Service, repair, and install all plumbing systems and piping supports per code, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Install and test Backflow Preventers and Medical Gas systems, ensuring they meet industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Complete plumbing services in confined space environments, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local building and plumbing codes, ensuring all work meets or exceeds industry standards.
  • Keep plumbing equipment and tools operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures.
  • Test all plumbing systems per job specifications, ensuring they meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Lift heavy materials at heights, working on uneven ground, and in adverse weather conditions, as required.
Requirements
  • Skills of a level 3 Plumbing Technician, including those listed below.
  • OSAH 30 hour certification, preferred.
  • Plumbing License.
  • Medical gas license.
  • Backflow prevention license.
  • Ability to use special tools and equipment.
  • Must be able and willing to follow job-site instructions.
  • Lift heavy materials and not be afraid of heights.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent multitasking skills.
  • Willingness to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary.
  • Punctual and diligent in work ethic.
Travel Requirements

0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job sites/office locations.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements
  • Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
  • Climbing stairs.
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Operating machinery and/or power tools.
  • Operating motor vehicles.
  • Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.
  • Noisy environment.
  • Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects from pounds.
Pay Range

USD $50, USD $66,800.00 /Yr.
