Recognizing the vital importance of the Amazon ecosystem in regulating global water and carbon cycles, the Coalition prioritizes the Amazon rainforest and its protectors in the international economic discourse.
By promoting the true value of rainforests, soils, and biodiversity in global markets, the Amazon Investor Coalition strives to ensure that forests are valued more for their living presence than for their destruction.
Key Responsibilities- Conducting analysis of the Coalition's network of rainforest stakeholders and allies globally.
- Organizing and facilitating events that connect philanthropists with NGOs, investors with entrepreneurs, and producers with buyers.
- Assisting in the creation of an educational initiative aimed at guiding investments and philanthropy related to the Amazon rainforest.
- Developing comprehensive databases of Amazonian products.
- Executing market research to gauge awareness of Amazon rainforest products.
- Supporting the establishment of Amazon Investor Coalition chapters in strategic cities worldwide.
- Editing multimedia content.
- Overseeing social media engagement.
- Translating materials between Spanish, Portuguese, and English as needed.
Essential Skills:
- Passion for nature and market dynamics.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Interest in sustainability and entrepreneurship.
- Able to learn quickly.
Preferred Skills (not mandatory):
- Fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
- Experience in investing, philanthropy, or corporate procurement.
- Knowledge of policy analysis.
- Understanding of supply chain management.
- Aptitude for simplifying complex concepts.
- Video editing skills.
This position is designed for part-time engagement and requires in-person attendance. The work schedule consists of 4 hours per day, 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility. Compensation starts at $20 per hour, with potential for growth.
