Job Overview

Voltage LLC is seeking a skilled Transportation Logistics Specialist to manage and coordinate transportation activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee transportation activities to ensure efficient delivery of goods.
  • Analyze transportation data and metrics to identify trends and improve processes.
  • Collaborate with transportation companies and transloading facilities to negotiate rates and ensure service quality.
  • Address and resolve transportation-related issues, including delays, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including shipments, costs, and RFQs.
  • Provide timely information on shipment status and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor and control transportation costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Create shipping documents, such as commercial invoices, packing slips, and shipping labels, as needed.
  • Maintain accurate outbound documentation in the ERP system.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments.
  • Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Logistics/Transportation experience required.
  • Associates Degree required.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated ability for accuracy.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work with multiple partners and peers across the organization and outside to achieve project and operational results.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency.

Classification: Non-Exempt

Employment Status: Full Time

Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment. Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Overtime may be necessary, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
