Product Development Engineer

The Product Engineer will play a crucial role in the development, optimization, and implementation of our PV harness, cable, and MV wire products.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Design Engineers to develop and refine product specifications and designs, ensuring they meet industry standards and customer requirements.
- Work alongside Quality Engineers to implement rigorous testing protocols and quality control measures, ensuring products meet or exceed quality expectations.
- Engage with Estimators and Sales teams to provide technical support, product knowledge, and engineering insights that aid in the preparation of bids and proposals.
- Coordinate with Project Management and Construction Site Crews to ensure smooth product integration and address any on-site technical challenges.
- Partner with Testing Laboratories to conduct necessary product testing, certifications, and validations required for market entry and compliance.
- Assist O&M Technicians with technical support and guidance on product installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Work with Logistics and Production teams to streamline manufacturing processes and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Build and maintain relationships with various industry experts and stakeholders across the United States, Europe, and Asia to stay abreast of market trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging feedback from clients and industry partners to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
- 3+ years of experience in product engineering, preferably in the PV harness, cable, or MV wire industry.
- Strong understanding of product development processes, from conception to market launch.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements related to PV harnesses, cables, and MV wires.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Solar or other renewable energy experience.
- SOP and standard process writing experience.
