Fleet Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team at Vivalon. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance operations on our expanding fleet of vehicles, including cars, vans, trucks, hybrids, and buses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including brake systems, suspension, and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and repair complex problems with vehicle systems, including engine performance, transmission, and drivetrain.
  • Conduct safety inspections and perform necessary repairs to ensure vehicles are roadworthy.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective vehicle maintenance and repair operations.
Requirements:
  • 1+ year of experience working as a mechanic in an automotive shop.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle operating systems and repair procedures.
  • Valid California driver's license and ability to obtain a commercial driver's license.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules and operating instructions.
  • ASE certifications are a plus.
