Standard Fleet is a leading provider of electric vehicle fleet management solutions. Our mission is to accelerate the commercial adoption of electric vehicles by setting the standard in EV fleet management.

We're seeking an experienced engineer to join our team and help us build the next generation of electric vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize systems that interact with low-level hardware such as Bluetooth and NFC for vehicle-to-device communication.
  • Integrate low-level capabilities into user-facing applications.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to ensure seamless integration between our software and various connected devices.
  • Develop systems to process and manage data from connected vehicles, charging stations, and other fleet systems.
  • Work across teams to ensure the reliability and security of these communication protocols.
  • Help drive the technical direction of our product while making thoughtful trade-offs between speed and maintainability.
  • Own features from start to finish, architecting solutions for complex problems.
  • Identify and address issues in real-time as fleets use our software in their day-to-day operations.

Requirements

  • Experience working with low-level systems, specifically Bluetooth and NFC technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on low-latency, reliable communication between hardware and software.
  • Experience with building applications and can comfortably switch between working on hardware integration and core software features.
  • Customer-first mindset and interest in building robust systems that help fleets operate efficiently.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and drives projects to completion.
  • Team player, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a distributed team.
