About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the design and development of Rod Control and Position products, as well as providing technical support for existing power plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of cabinet design and layout drawings for Rod Control and Position products
  • Provide input to engineering calculations in support of structural design and analysis of Rod Control and Position products
  • Perform technical tasks in support of engineering, procurement, and implementation activities to maintain long-term operations of existing power plants
  • Collect and interpret technical data, and prepare engineering summaries and reports as a work product
  • Support site installations as necessary
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 0-3 years of engineering experience
  • Ability to understand and interpret applicable codes, standards, and regulations
  • Familiarity with mechanical engineering design codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, ANSI, ASHRAE, HEI, etc.)
  • Experience with software modeling tools (3D modeling tools such as Inventor and SolidWorks)
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Strong organizational, planning, and technical writing skills
