About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Westinghouse Parts Business team in New Stanton, PA. As a key member of our Procurement (Parts) Engineering team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and delivery of mechanical products and services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review technical packages, including drawings, specifications, and procurement requirements, for various mechanical products.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including quality engineering, supply chain management, marketing, customer service, and the supplier base.
  • Provide technical input during the proposal process and develop and/or maintain Material Master Data and Parts Baselines in SAP.
  • Determine critical equipment characteristics to support equipment qualification and commercial dedication activities.
  • Create equipment qualification test procedures, evaluate test results, and review final reports.
  • Prepare Commercial Dedication Instructions and provide engineering support to customers, manufacturing, and shop operations for a variety of products.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in CE and AP1000 plant mechanical components.
  • Experience with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, Section III design and delivery.
  • SAP knowledge, especially production, requisitioning, and material master data management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with the AP1000 design process is a plus.
