We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting doctors during advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Procedure Preparation: Ensure that the Cardiac Lab procedure rooms are adequately stocked with necessary equipment and supplies, including instrument sterilization.
  • Procedure Assistance: Prepare patients and equipment for cardiac lab procedures by preparing the site of entry, draping the patient, arranging sterilized instruments and catheters, and calibrating and setting up pressure transducers and tubing.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate and ensure the quality control of all equipment utilized in the cardiac cath lab, including knowledge of related equipment within the laboratory.
  • Scrubbing and Assistance: Scrub in during procedures, assist the physician in maneuvering catheters, and obtain and record hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data by operating hemodynamic and electrical amplifiers and digital and line fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Patient Monitoring: Monitor the patient's hemodynamic status during procedures in the cardiac cath lab and participate in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Requirements:

  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AART, and RCIS certification, as well as state-specific licensing when required.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.

Physical Demands:

The Cath Lab Technologist should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
