Therapeutic Recreation Specialist

Carle Health is seeking a skilled Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to provide restorative, rehabilitative, and recreational services to patients in various settings. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy, or Activity Director and be certified in Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counseling.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments with patients, documenting their needs and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide individualized therapeutic services, including activities and interventions, to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance Therapeutic Activity Services.
- Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy, or Activity Director.
- Certification in Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counseling.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
