Job Description

At Dembo Jones, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Assurance Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Tax and Assurance profession and develop your skills in financial analysis, reporting, and audit support.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, and other documents.
  • Conduct audits of client company financials to ensure compliance with GAPP and other accounting standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports of audit findings and recommendations for client companies.
  • Assist in the performance of risk assessments and examinations of records to ensure proper recording and authorization of transactions.
  • Support the Accounting team in compiling and analyzing data, tracking information, and supporting the company or clients.
Requirements
  • Recent graduate or actively working towards a Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting.
  • Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
  • Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility, with a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
