Senior Electrical Engineering Consultant Key Role:

Deliver comprehensive engineering assessments, coordination, and supervision for operational, maintenance, repair, and construction activities. Oversee and manage interactions with trade shops, ensuring effective prioritization of tasks, evaluation of ongoing projects, inspection of installed systems, and management of work orders and service requests.

Plan, execute, and direct projects or significant phases of major initiatives while coordinating the efforts of engineers and technical support personnel.

Oversee project design or construction activities, which include scheduling, budgeting, and daily project management. Evaluate contractor performance, integrate projects with field staff, assess and manage project change requests, and provide official weekly updates on project status.

Assist the client's contracting officer (CO) and technical representative (COTR) with acquisition planning, execution, and administration. Conduct pre-bid and pre-construction site visits, provide necessary documentation for invoice processing, prepare and monitor project timelines, and offer technical guidance on contracting and construction matters. Direct design initiatives, recommend construction documentation for approval, and supervise follow-on maintenance programs.

Enhance performance, cost-efficiency, and scheduling by ensuring project goals are met promptly and at the lowest possible cost aligned with user requirements.

Ensure timely input of all data, comments, and documentation into the MAXIMO project management system. Guarantee the integration of all systems, including information technology, telecommunications, security, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.

Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in a professional setting
5+ years of experience in a specialized field, including high voltage power, mechanical systems, fire protection, or construction
Experience in implementing or executing design documents
Proficient in reviewing design documentation and identifying deficiencies, inaccuracies, and noncompliance issues
Familiarity with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs)
Ability to assess conditions and draft engineering memos that provide sound engineering guidance consistent with industry best practices and all applicable codes
Capability to work independently
Proficient in reviewing and performing engineering calculations
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
High school diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:
Experience managing project design or construction activities, including scheduling, funding, and daily oversight
Familiarity with MAXIMO
Experience with new and existing building systems, site assessments, and calculations
Knowledge of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, International Electrical Testing Association, National Electrical Code, and relevant NFPA publications related to electrical systems
Proficient in CAD systems, AutoCAD, or REVIT
Ability to oversee and coordinate activities with trade shops, including task prioritization, project reviews, and equipment inspections
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Engineer in Training (EIT) Registration
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Professional Engineer (PE) License

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 annually.

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
