Job Title: Production Maintenance Technician

Ryder is seeking a skilled Production Maintenance Technician to join our team in Hazleton, PA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on production equipment, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Use precision measuring and testing instruments to identify and diagnose equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with other functions to plan and schedule maintenance activities, communicate with operators to understand issues, and train operators on proper techniques.
  • Prepare downtime maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Fabricate repair parts as needed using machine shop equipment.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock, anticipating needs, and placing orders.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of electricity and electrical troubleshooting up to 480 VAC.
  • Ability to run conduit and size wiring accordingly to circuit demands and within the boundaries established by the National Electrical Code.
  • Experience in troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems from proper setup to I/O validation.
  • Ability to cut and weld stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel.
