Job Title: Labor Relations Counsel

Join the Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA) as a Labor Relations Counsel in our Atlanta, GA office. As a key member of our team, you will provide assistance to pilot governing bodies and individual members on labor-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on labor laws and regulations, including the Railway Labor Act (RLA) and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • Assist in negotiating agreements, coordinating activities during negotiations, and monitoring contract administration.
  • Manage FAA actions against individual pilots, prepare summaries of NTSB Accident/Incident hearings, and handle case management functions.
  • Collaborate with department managers to develop and implement labor relations strategies.
Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Law (LLM) degree from an approved school of law.
  • Member in good standing of the Bar.
  • Five (5) years of related experience in labor law and litigation, with ten (10) years preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal staff, external contacts, and senior legal and aviation professionals.
