This role is centered on the care of patients undergoing cardiology procedures, ensuring a high standard of clinical practice.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, four 10-hour shifts, no weekend duties.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in cardiology is essential.
- ACUTE CARE GERO NP certification is mandatory.
Under general supervision, the Nurse Practitioner will:
- Clinical Duties:
- Collaborate with attending physicians to lead the healthcare team.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to inform treatment plans.
- Establish medical diagnoses and create comprehensive care plans.
- Implement clinical protocols and ensure timely patient interventions.
- Perform necessary invasive procedures and specialty consultations.
- Educate patients and families about care plans and health maintenance.
- Educational Contributions:
- Provide training and mentorship to healthcare team members.
- Engage in community health education and outreach initiatives.
- Leadership and Quality Improvement:
- Coordinate nurse practitioner coverage and ensure quality care delivery.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes.
- Advocate for patient safety and effective care practices.
- Master's degree in Nursing with completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the state.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
This position may require weekend, holiday, and on-call duties, with potential exposure to infectious diseases.
