Pulmonary Transplant Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pulmonary Transplant Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at UMMS Providers/Physicians. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with physicians to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive history and physical assessments for patients admitted to the pulmonary transplant unit.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, establish medical diagnoses, and design treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement care plans, and communicate with patients and families to ensure understanding and adherence.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to the development of clinical pathways and quality assurance initiatives.
- Advocate for patients and families, and provide education and support to promote health and wellness.
- Master of Science Degree in Nursing with completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland and certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland.
- Minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse, with experience in acute care and pulmonary transplant preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population served.
