About the Position

The National Security Institute is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Policy Associate to support various policy programming efforts, including events, publications, and outreach. The successful candidate will have a strong background in public policy and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and execution of NSI policy events, roundtables, and conferences.
  • Engage with experts and other speakers, update and maintain NSI websites, and design communication materials.
  • Book and promote media opportunities for Institute experts and support the execution of NSI's social media and press strategy.
  • Assist with the publication and dissemination of NSI research, advocacy papers, and other written materials.
  • Support NSI team with other tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Some public policy experience.
  • Strong database experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Superior skill in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to independently juggle multiple programs and priorities effectively.
  • Ability to interact effectively with persons at all levels in a professional manner and in different settings.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, and detail-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One or more years of public policy experience.
