Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Marine JROTC Instructor to join our team at International Leadership of Texas. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for coordinating with senior school officials and District MCJROTC personnel to establish procedures relating to the administration, management, and education of students enrolled in the MCJROTC program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the MCJROTC program at the assigned campus, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines outlined in Department of Defense Instructions, Marine Corps Orders (MCO), policies, directives, and ILTexas policies.
  • Provide comprehensive educational instruction to students enrolled in the MCJROTC program, assessing and documenting cadet progress and achievements using Cadet Records Manager.
  • Develop and implement instructional lesson plans utilizing the MCJROTC Leadership Education (LE) levels of instruction I through IV, implementing instructional strategies that reflect the ILTexas Performance Standards.
  • Collaborate with education staff, special education staff, guidance counselors, and school administrators, as needed, to maximize program effectiveness.
  • Perform administrative and logistical tasks related to MCJROTC program management as directed by the Senior Marine Instructor.
  • Maintain technical proficiency in the administrative, logistical, and cadet data components of the Cadet Records Manager system of record for cadet administration.
  • Maintain fundraising accountability as required by school and ILTexas District policies.
  • Coordinate with ILTexas MCJROTC personnel to plan, organize and conduct MCJROTC extracurricular and co-curricular activities to meet requirements established in the POI.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Honorably discharged from the military with at least 8 years of active service.
  • MCJROTC Instructor Certification by Marine Corps Training and Education Command.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
  • Knowledge of core academic subject assigned.
  • Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
Working Conditions

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining emotional control under stress, and working prolonged or irregular hours. The position requires regular exposure to noise and the ability to lift and move textbooks and classroom equipment.
