Responsibilities
The C&I Relationship Manager is responsible for independently generating and managing a diverse and complex portfolio of loans and deposits for both new and existing commercial and industrial clients.
This role involves assessing client needs and aligning them with suitable banking products and partners. The manager will conduct initial evaluations and structure loan transactions, prepare term sheets, oversee the underwriting process with the support of a Portfolio Manager and the bank's Credit Department, and present credit packages for approval. Additionally, the manager will collaborate with the Portfolio Administrator and/or external counsel to prepare loan documentation and finalize transactions.
Our Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Team is dedicated to serving the businesses within our local community, offering a variety of competitive financial products, including Commercial Loans, Lines of Credit, Treasury Solutions, Acquisition Financing, Equipment Leasing, Owner-Occupied Commercial Real Estate, Small Business Lending, SBA, and other financing options.
Our teams strive to provide innovative and flexible solutions that help small and mid-sized businesses achieve their objectives. The Lending Team operates regionally, with a Market Executive leading each group. Our lenders possess expertise across various sectors, including government contracting, non-profits, educational financing, healthcare, and professional services.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or business, or an equivalent of 3 additional years of experience in commercial credit analysis and underwriting.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in portfolio management and real estate underwriting.
- Proven track record of 5 years in achieving sales goals in commercial lending.
- Formal or in-house credit training, which can count towards one year of experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong skills in complex credit analysis and decision-making.
- Ability to structure, price, and manage complex and large portfolio transactions to meet organizational objectives.
- Comprehensive knowledge of banking products and services.
Preferences:
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
