Responsibilities:

Position Summary:


The Clinical Nursing Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the daily provision of patient care, ensuring the quality of nursing practices, and upholding the standards of care within the Main Operating Room.

This role guarantees the continuity and coherence of services through the coordination of the overall surgical schedule, supervision and guidance of staff, facilitation of responses to physician directives, and the procurement of necessary equipment and services.

Acts as a role model and clinical resource for colleagues, staff, and patients. Furthermore, the incumbent analyzes data and develops effective control mechanisms to ensure a safe patient care environment.

Qualifications:

Strong customer service orientation alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proven ability to operate independently and follow through with minimal supervision

Demonstrated capacity to lead through influence as well as authority, manage conflicts, and negotiate effectively.

Thorough understanding of acuity levels pertinent to the patient demographic

Willingness to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Capability to problem-solve, think critically, and creatively

Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and organize daily responsibilities

Skill in managing staff and resources in alignment with organizational goals and values. Proficiency in delegating and empowering staff while fostering strong employee morale

5 years of Operating Room experience or 2 years of Operating Room experience supplemented by additional experience as a service coordinator, charge nurse, or other supervisory roles

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Preferred

Qualifications:

Familiarity with Joint Commission and other relevant regulatory standards

Demonstrated supervisory experience in an acute care environment


ANCC recognized RN certification specifically applicable to this unit (general certifications, such as WCC, will not suffice for this requirement).
