We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team at the Chinatown Service Center (CSC). As a key member of our Behavioral Health Department, you will play a vital role in providing outstanding mental health and substance use services to vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate clients by conducting thorough assessments, including interviews, physical examinations, and reviewing medical history and related documents.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including the prescription of psychotropic medications, and monitor and evaluate treatment results.
- Provide medical and psychosocial evaluation, and develop treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
- Maintain interdisciplinary treatment by collaborating with primary care physicians, mental health therapists, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
- Comply with agency productivity standards and maintain an appropriate caseload to ensure timely and effective client care.
- State of California Psychiatrist License in good standing, DEA, and Board-Certification by the ABPN, ABPS, or ABMS are preferred.
- Unencumbered NPI Number and DEA Registration.
- Experience working with dual-diagnosed/co-occurring patients with both a substance use disorder and a mental illness.
- Knowledge of principles and techniques of social, cultural, and intergenerational dynamics of Asian immigrants and refugees.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Reliable Transportation to clinics, programs, and events as needed.
