Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Residential Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a residential facility dedicated to providing support for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role includes direct involvement in behavioral health care services and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for residents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver on-site behavioral health services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Supervise staff and manage home operations, including administrative tasks, therapeutic interventions, and skill development.
  • Provide daily structure and support for residents, assisting with personal care, living skills, and case management.
  • Communicate significant behavioral changes and incidents to supervisory personnel, acting as a liaison for community resources.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, federal and state regulations, and corporate policies while fostering a therapeutic environment.
  • Collaborate with licensing authorities and participate in inspections or investigations as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of experience working with youth facing intellectual and developmental disabilities, or an unlicensed master’s level practitioner with at least 1 year of experience.
  • Prior supervisory experience is essential.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Successful completion of a physical, drug screening, and background check is mandatory.
  • Physical capability to perform duties, including lifting up to 25 pounds and maintaining mobility during shifts.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including standing, walking, and driving as necessary.
  • Completion of Crisis Management Training is required, with the ability to implement techniques as needed.
