Veterinary Technician Supervisor Opportunity

VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team as a Tech Supervisor. This individual will support and oversee our technician team, working closely with our leadership team to provide exceptional care to our patients.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will excel medically and have a passion for providing mentorship and guidance to our team members. As a Tech Supervisor, you will be responsible for directing workflow on the floor, assisting in the educational development of technicians, and helping with the interview process for potential new hires.

Responsibilities
  • Directing work flow on the floor
  • Assisting in the educational development of technicians and their skills
  • Helping with the interview process for potential new hires
  • Technician Scheduling
  • Assisting in staffing and coverage where needed
  • Assisting in basic protocol and standard procedure training
  • Providing opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience
  • Mentoring technicians within the department
  • Working with department doctors to develop protocols to improve the service
  • Ensuring that VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $23 - $29/hour based on experience and credentials. As a working supervisory position, this role is responsible for the leadership and supervision of our technical staff.
