Position: Educational Intervention Coordinator

Overview: This role focuses on the development and execution of educational programs tailored to the unique needs outlined in each student's Individual Education Plan (IEP).

Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluating the developmental stages of students, collecting assessment data, and designing instructional objectives and programs based on these evaluations.
  • Delivering instruction in designated curricular subjects.
  • Creating and executing daily lesson plans that align with students' IEPs and implementing approved behavioral strategies.
  • Providing guidance and training to instructional aides, assistants, and volunteers who support classroom activities. Maintaining necessary documentation and reports.
  • Ensuring a classroom environment that promotes learning and is free from health and safety risks.
  • Conducting meetings with students' families and relevant personnel, which may include home visits. Participating in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
  • Attending educational workshops and conferences as requested by supervisors.

Supervisory Duties: This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution; a Master's degree is preferred. Relevant coursework or experience in autism, behavioral challenges, and multiple disabilities is essential.
  • Possession of a valid teaching license in Special Education from the appropriate educational authority, with a focus on moderate to intensive needs (K-12). For preschool roles, an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist P-3 or preschool endorsement is required.

Applicants must also fulfill the following criteria:

  • Meet the agency's computer competency standards.
  • Be willing to obtain crisis intervention training at the earliest opportunity after hiring.
  • Adhere to agency driving requirements, which may include operating agency vehicles. A valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Successfully pass a background check.
  • Comply with all other employment requirements as outlined in the job description.

Compensation: Salary starts at $38,766 annually, determined by a combination of education and experience.

Work Schedule: This is a full-time position requiring 35 hours per week.
