Metropolitan Adjustment Bureau Inc, a family-owned enterprise, is on the lookout for a dedicated Public Insurance/General Insurance Adjuster to enhance our growing team.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Public Insurance/Insurance Adjuster, you will engage directly with homeowners, property managers, contractors, and insurance providers from the initial job assignment through to its completion. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Conducting site inspections
  • Measuring and sketching floor plans
  • Drafting job scopes
  • Utilizing Xactimate Estimating Software

It is essential to communicate timely and precise information to the President of the company.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with the insurance adjusting sector
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in property claims adjusting
  • Preferred experience with large loss claims
  • Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Xactimate Software, including knowledge of codes for water and fire losses
  • Competence in using Excel spreadsheets
  • Ability to estimate and interpret architectural and engineering plans is preferred
  • Capability to create diagrams and dimensions of homes or buildings and input them into Xactimate
  • Understanding of insurance policies
  • Knowledge of bid comparisons and spreadsheets

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 12 months of experience as a Technician or Estimator in water and fire damage
  • Clean driving record
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Must be a resident of California
