Job Summary

TETRA Technologies, Inc. is a global organization that values diversity and competitive spirit. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, install, repair, and maintain piping systems, including stainless steel, galvanized, CPVC, Kynar/Teflon lined steel, and FRP systems.
  • Repair and maintenance of evaporator burners and blowers, including troubleshooting and minor repairs or replacements.
  • Troubleshoot general industrial devices, such as inductive motors and photo-eyes.
  • Use volt meters and other electrical test equipment.
  • Use oxygen/acetylene gas cutting.
  • Maintain all plant equipment using PdM, PM, and other maintenance strategies.
  • Repair and maintain pumps, including centrifugal, mag-drive, diaphragm, and metering pumps.
  • Install bearings, seals, gears, chains, sprockets, and other types of mechanical transmission equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, or replace block valves, control valves, solenoid valves, valve positioners, and pneumatic actuators.
  • Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and other onsite plant vehicles.
  • Maintain and repair plant lifting equipment, such as cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and equipment specifications.
  • Understand lockout-tagout procedures and energy isolation techniques.
  • Operate shop equipment, such as drills, saws, grinders, etc.
  • Design and fabricate metal structures, such as pipe supports, conduit stands, and other related items.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLC-based control system circuits and plant instrumentation.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Two-year degree or Certificate from a Technical Institution preferred.
  • Maintenance management software experience, such as JDE, SAP, or other CMMS preferred.
  • 2 years in factory and maintenance work.
  • 2 years of technical experience in a Factory Maintenance Service environment.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but some isolated areas have high noise levels.
