Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Secondary Science Teacher to join our team. This is a full-time position, responsible for teaching Physics, Biology, and/or Chemistry to high school students.

About the Role

The successful candidate will create an engaging learning environment that fosters active student participation. They will be responsible for lesson planning, assessing, instructing, monitoring, and reporting student progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality instruction that promotes standards mastery
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans to engage students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate with parents and colleagues to ensure student success
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Science, Education, or a related field
  • Experience working in urban education
  • A Praxis II passing score in the content area
  • Master's in a related field and/or prior teaching experience highly desired
