About the Role

This position is a great opportunity to work as a Data Analyst in our Carmel, IN office. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing data models and analysis services to mine enterprise systems and applications for knowledge and information that enhance business processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy & Planning:
  • Develop and deploy required data visualizations and underlying data queries in response to business user needs.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation to support usage of visualizations and queries.
  • In conjunction with data owners and department managers, develop data models and protocols for mining production databases.
  • Assist in the development of data management policies and procedures.
  • Identify research questions, problem solve using data analysis, and communicate the results to various stakeholders.
  • Ensure best practices are established for effective problem resolution for a high availability, 24/7, global environment.
  • Analyze existing operations and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the BI/EDW architecture.
  • Operational Management:
  • Work with application development staff to coordinate the creation and management of data visualizations and queries.
  • Collaborate with unit managers, end users, development staff, and other stakeholders to integrate data management applications with existing systems.
  • Provide and apply quality assurance best practices for data analysis services across the organization.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to data models.
  • Create data definitions for new database file/table development and/or changes to existing ones.
  • Develop routines for end users to facilitate best-practice use of data management tools.
  • Monitor data management system details within the database, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Diagnose and resolve data warehouse access and performance issues.
