Department Overview:

Diagnostic Radiology
Schedule: Full Time Day Shift, Monday to Friday with occasional weekends.

Position Summary:

The Senior Radiology Technologist will lead and guide the imaging team in executing medical and diagnostic imaging tasks. This role requires a strong emphasis on quality assurance in imaging, patient care, and workflow management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and mentor assigned staff in imaging activities.
  • Ensure high standards in imaging quality and patient care.
  • Monitor patient documentation for accuracy and timely completion.
  • Oversee quality control testing and equipment maintenance.
  • Act as a resource for department staff and collaborate with team members.
  • Conduct staff orientation, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Accurately position patients and select appropriate technical parameters.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards.
  • Facilitate the prompt submission of high-quality images and documentation to PACS.
  • Maintain a clean and organized department environment.
Qualifications:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire. Acceptable certifications include those from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Required Credentials:
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) prior to hire. Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed by the Florida Radiologic Technology prior to hire.

Education:

High School diploma with 2 years of cumulative experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree with 1 year of experience, or 5 years of relevant job-specific experience.
