Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ascension Sacred Heart. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for taking high-quality radiologic films to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and position patients for imaging and select exposure factors accurately.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Observe patients during procedures and report any abnormal activity.
- Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as needed.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
- One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist (Computed Tomography), Radiologic Technologist (Radiography), Medical Sonographer.
- High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience, or Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
