The Optical Store Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the optical department while ensuring exceptional customer service. This role encompasses all responsibilities of a dispensing optician, along with managerial tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the optical store.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and the lab to guarantee timely processing of orders.

Location: Peoria, AZ

Compensation: Starting at $16/hour+

Essential Functions:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service by answering calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a friendly demeanor.
  • Assist customers with eyeglass adjustments, measurements, and prescription readings.
  • Supervise store personnel to ensure high levels of customer engagement.
  • Process and verify third-party insurance payments while adhering to privacy regulations.
  • Manage sales procedures, ensuring accurate transactions and funds collection.
  • Communicate with the District Manager regarding store performance and associate relations.
  • Ensure the optical store is well-maintained and organized.

Supervisory Role:

This position supervises all store employees and is responsible for performance management, hiring, and coaching.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in leadership or management within the optical or eyecare field is preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving results and meeting goals.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong supervisory and mentoring skills to enhance customer satisfaction and sales.
  • Proficient in using computer systems for sales and order processing.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve complaints effectively.
  • Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Interest in fashion eyewear is a plus.

Work Environment:

This role operates in a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment.

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and lift up to 20 pounds.

Position Type:

This is a full-time position with varying days and hours.

Travel:

Minimal travel expected, less than 5%.
