Pediatric Physical Therapist

Family Health Centers of San Diego is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our multidisciplinary pediatric care team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality physical therapy services to children from 0 to 13 years old, supporting our growing programs for Childhood Obesity, Early Intervention, and Infant Mental Health.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate patients referred to physical therapy, as well as the Childhood Obesity clinic, and Early Intervention.
- Perform evaluations according to each patient's needs, physician recommendations, and specific program guidelines/protocols.
- Communicate with patients and/or parents/caregivers regarding evaluation results, treatment plans, and goals.
- Provide home program activities to patients and/or parents/caregivers to ensure carryover to the home environment.
- Engage patients and/or parents/caregivers in treatment sessions.
- Provide treatment to assigned patients as appropriate in accordance with established standards of care and practice.
- Design an appropriate and effective treatment plan and work within scope of practice at all times.
- Monitor progress of treatment goals through periodic observations and assessments.
- Conduct re-evaluations when indicated.
- Consult with Physician, allied health professionals, and other team members.
- Participate in case conferencing meetings and in program planning meetings.
- Facilitate training and presentations for staff, patients, and parents/caregivers when applicable.
- Communicate regularly with Referral Specialist, Case Management, Care Coordination, and Scheduling staff.
- Make recommendations and follow through with referrals to internal programs, as well as outside agencies when appropriate.
- Make recommendations to infant/early childhood or mental health services when dyadic concerns arise.
- California State licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Current American Heart Association healthcare provider CPR (BLS), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, or Advance Resuscitation Training.
- At least 2 years' experience as a Physical Therapist preferred.
- Pediatric specific experience required and experience in early intervention (0-3) preferred.

We offer a generous compensation and benefits package, including $1000 CME reimbursement, 24 hours of CME time off, MedBridge account with unlimited access to virtual CME training, license renewal fee reimbursement, and the possibility of loan forgiveness eligibility. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to community medicine and providing culturally competent care to the medically underserved. In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base range for this position, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses: $90,000.00 - $107,000.00. Please note that the final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience.
