Position Title: Cyber Applications Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Location: Various locations available

Work Schedule: Day shift (Monday to Friday)

Key Responsibilities:
The Cyber Applications Subject Matter Expert (SME) will play a crucial role in supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) through the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The responsibilities include:
• Designing, developing, and implementing high-quality cybersecurity solutions.
• Utilizing advanced technical agile methodologies to create effective cyber solutions.
• Collaborating with clients to provide expert technical consultation and support.
• Working independently and in team settings on complex projects, often tailored to unique client needs.
• Administering cybersecurity toolsets and server systems across various classification domains.
• Supporting both developmental and operational systems, including monitoring and resolving issues for client and server devices.
• Engaging in systems engineering for both Windows and Linux environments.
• Interacting with end users and technical staff to troubleshoot and resolve intricate issues.
• Maintaining professional communication with clients and team members to ensure alignment and understanding.
• Actively seeking opportunities for personal development and contributing to internal projects.
• Leading and mentoring junior engineers throughout project lifecycles.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
• A quick understanding of business concepts and a passion for continuous learning.
• A solid foundation in cybersecurity technologies, including but not limited to Tanium, Trellix, Arcsight, and network security tools.
• Familiarity with DoD Risk Management Framework and Software Assurance requirements.
• A minimum of 9 years of experience in systems administration and at least 3 years in leadership roles.
• Relevant certifications in cybersecurity and information assurance.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in network administration or systems engineering.
• Proficiency in scripting languages and tools for automation.
• Knowledge of cloud services and enterprise solutions.
• Understanding of various technology stack layers and their interconnections.
