This position provides guidance and counseling to individuals with disabilities in achieving employment outcomes. The successful candidate will develop individual rehabilitation plans, counsel consumers on job and career development goals, and provide on-site job coaching or assistive devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individual rehabilitation plans to achieve employment outcomes
  • Counsel consumers on job and career development goals, including resume building and interview preparation
  • Provide on-site job coaching or assistive devices to support consumers in their employment goals
  • Collaborate with Workforce partners, community rehabilitation providers, businesses, and other stakeholders to serve individuals with disabilities
  • Consult and coach on best practices for serving individuals with disabilities

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of psychosocial assessment, occupational placement, and vocational rehabilitation counseling
  • Knowledge of medical and psychiatric conditions in relation to the rehabilitation process
  • Knowledge of counseling theories, techniques, and applications
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible and balance between literal adherence to rules and the use of policies as a guide
  • Meet minimum qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in a field of study reasonably related to vocational rehabilitation counseling, disability studies, human services, business administration, special education, psychology, or communications
    • One year of experience in rehabilitation counseling, career counseling, or human services
  • Fully qualified applicants possess:
    • Master's degree in rehabilitation counseling
    • Certification by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) is highly preferred
