YOUR ROLE

In the capacity of Imports Customs Manager, you will report directly to the Branch Manager and be responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the Imports Department. Your role will involve addressing compliance challenges, auditing local documentation, ensuring adherence to departmental protocols, and collaborating with broker resources.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Optimize team scheduling to maximize resource efficiency
  • Conduct thorough audits on brokerage documentation and customs transactions
  • Monitor billing processes and unbilled activities to ensure compliance
  • Maintain accurate customs compliance records
  • Facilitate document processing through the ABI system for customs and governmental releases
  • Manage PSC filing and address compliance issues
  • Evaluate and oversee Customs rejections and information requests
  • Implement new client accounts and process enhancements
  • Communicate problems and discrepancies to management
  • Resolve accounting inquiries and disputes
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Licensed Customs Broker
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Entry Writer
  • 5 years of experience in people management
  • Familiarity with INCO terms, Harmonized Tariff Schedule, and Customs regulations
  • Willingness to work in the office full-time
