Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Specialist to join our team at UofL Health-University Hospital. This role will provide specialized repair and maintenance services to diagnostic imaging equipment and biomedical equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform repair and maintenance on general imaging equipment, including X-Ray units, Portable X-ray units, Fluoroscopy Systems, CR units, and Mammography units, Ultrasound systems, etc.
  • Complete all necessary record keeping for work orders received and finished.
  • Assist in the ordering of parts and supplies necessary for the most cost-effective maintenance of medical imaging equipment.
  • Provide on-call coverage on a rotating basis and other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in the identification of value-added enhancements.
  • Promote the safe and effective use of clinical equipment.
  • Maintain effective professional customer relations and communication.
  • Provide input to the Director regarding new service opportunities and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Two years of related experience servicing medical imaging equipment.
  • Must keep up-to-date on technological and medical advances.
  • Must have current understanding of Joint Commission, 21 CFR and NFPA regulations.
  • Must have the ability to repair and maintain a wide variety of medical Imaging equipment.
  • BMET or CRES certification preferred.
