POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Branch Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Branch Manager by overseeing daily branch operations, ensuring outstanding customer service, and meeting financial goals. This position involves staff supervision, resource management, and driving sales growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in organizing and directing daily branch operations while ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of sales strategies aimed at achieving branch and corporate objectives.
  • Provide training and mentorship to staff, fostering their professional development.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction levels through exceptional service delivery.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Oversee financial operations of the branch, including budgeting and reporting, to ensure profitability.
  • Facilitate effective communication between branch personnel and upper management, relaying feedback and suggestions.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.

  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding processes for new hires.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in management or sales, or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills.
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Experience in customer service or a related field is advantageous.
  • Understanding of sales principles and customer service practices is essential.
  • Familiarity with materials, production processes, and quality control techniques is required.
  • Knowledge of the metals industry is essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position involves sedentary work, requiring minimal physical exertion. The work is primarily conducted in an office setting with a controlled temperature environment.
