Test Engineer

Job Summary
This role involves assisting with technical direction and conducting installation configuration validation and work package development. You will participate in and assist with work planning, turnover coordination, material management and quantities, quality control, and environmental safety and health. Your work will ensure equipment, systems, and activities are operating and compliant with plans and design.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct installation configuration validation and work package development
- Participate in work planning and scheduling of CSU activities
- Prepare startup work packages and test work packages
- Participate in scoping drawings, flush sketches, and component and system test procedures
- Assist with CSU turnover walkdowns and interface with the Field Engineer
- Draft contract change notices and amendments, extra work orders, and back charge notices
- Track quantities on quantity tracking systems
- Assist with walkdowns and inspections to validate system configuration
- Monitor testing of equipment to ensure conformance with specifications
- Review project design data to ensure completeness
Requirements
- University hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience
- Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
- Ability to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact closely with partner teams
- Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to walk at least 3 miles per day over uneven ground and climb stair towers 75' in height at least 6 times per day
