Universal Test System Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Universal Test System Engineer to join our team at Trane Technologies. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing support to our Testers across North America, maintaining communication across various sites, and leading teams through upgrades and continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities- First Point of Contact for Universal Tester Related Issues with Tester Engineers in Trane NA Plants
- Resolution of Universal Tester Related Issues with current testers
- Escalation of Issues to Team Leadership and Tester Engineering Team
- Identification of Plant Issues to System and Software Engineers, driving and supporting resolution
- Recommendations and improvements to Tester related Processes
- Supporting Tester Engineers for Product Changes
- Training of New Tester Engineers
- Leading Upgrades and Improvements of existing Universal Testers
- Co-coordinating with Tester Engineering on schematics, system diagrams and test sequence changes as appropriate
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology required
- Strong interest in HVAC applications and operating conditions for refrigeration equipment
- Strong interest in Manufacturing Plant Systems and Processes in support of Universal Testers
- Competency in Microsoft products including, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint required
- Competency in Test Systems and SCADA applications
- Ability to lead a team or work as a member of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent technical, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Must be tenacious with quality and customer service orientation
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Six Sigma trained or certified a plus but is not required
- Knowledge of the appropriate product safety and design standards; including but not limited to UL/CSA 1995, UL508, UL508A, National Electric Code, ANSI Z21.47, ASHRAE 90.1, etc.
- Basic experience with AutoCAD Electrical is a plus but is not required
