We are seeking a Senior Proposal Editing Specialist with TS/SCI clearance to become part of our Capture Operations & Excellence Group. The Proposal Editing Specialist is vital in ensuring document uniformity and a unified proposal narrative. Key responsibilities include reviewing grammar and punctuation, enhancing clarity and readability, managing acronyms, and ensuring overall document quality.

The Senior Editing Specialist collaborates with the Proposal Manager/Coordinator to set editing timelines, complete necessary forms, and deliver high-quality edits in accordance with Leidos standards. They may take the lead on editing proposals or collaborate within an editing team depending on project requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary editing contact for proposals, RFIs, or White Papers
  • Create proposal style guides as required
  • Complete Editing Intake Forms
  • Work closely with Proposal Manager and Coordinator on editing needs
  • Ensure edits conform to grammar standards, Leidos Style Guide, and proposal-specific formats
  • Develop and maintain acronym lists
  • Conduct consistency checks on assigned sections
  • Deliver edits in a timely manner
  • Assist with Evaluation Notice and Final Proposal Revision responses

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Linguistics, or a related discipline with over 8 years of editing experience
  • Excellent communication skills with proposal leaders and authors
  • Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and spelling
  • Familiarity with AP style
  • Understanding of passive-to-active voice conversion, parallel structure, and modifier placement
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe software
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet project deadlines
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Knowledge of technical terminology
