We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Office Director to join our team at Merrill Gardens. As a Business Office Director, you will be responsible for managing the community's accounting process, ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures, and providing support to department heads.
Key Responsibilities:- Accounting and Bookkeeping: Manage the community's accounting process, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue, and payroll functions.
- Payroll and Human Resources: Support the General Manager and department heads in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new team members, as well as managing payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Operations Support: Assist the General Manager and department heads in creating and running key reports, managing the monthly rental increase process, and responding to ad hoc requests for information.
- 2 years of college required, associate degree with emphasis in Accounting or Business preferred, plus a minimum of 4 years of experience in an office manager or similar role, including a minimum of 4 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
- OR 6 years of Office Management and bookkeeping/accounting experience (in lieu of college experience).
- Knowledge of general human resource practices.
- Experience in the senior living industry a plus.
