As a Solar Installation Technician, you will play a critical role in the installation of solar panel systems on residential and commercial rooftops, as well as ground mounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solar Panel Installation: Safely install solar panels on rooftops and ground mounts, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
  • Material Handling: Lift, move, and transport solar panels, racking, and other materials to project sites.
  • Project Preparation: Prepare inventory for projects, including ordering and stocking materials as needed.
  • System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on installed solar panel systems.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training sessions and workshops to stay up-to-date on the latest solar panel installation techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required for this position.
  • Experience with Hand Tools: Experience with hand-held and power tools is necessary for this role.
  • Education and Background: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a two-year degree in technology or industrial arts preferred. 1-2 years of construction experience is also preferred.
  • Electrical Knowledge: Basic understanding of electrical wiring of AC and DC systems is preferred.
