Photovoltaic Electrician

Company Overview:
Carbon Recall Chattanooga is a prominent installer of solar energy systems and energy storage solutions in the Southeastern region. We are currently seeking a skilled electrician to enhance our team.

Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will be a dedicated team player with a robust work ethic and a keen interest in mastering the various facets of photovoltaic (PV) solar system installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute the installation of solar PV systems, which includes electrical wiring, mounting inverters and panels, conducting tests, and performing standard electrical tasks such as installing main switches.
• Serve as the site team leader during installations, ensuring that work is performed efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards.
• Evaluate and monitor the quality of solar PV installations.
• Identify necessary products and components for commercial projects.
• Stay informed about the latest requirements and best practices related to solar PV design and installations, implementing necessary changes to meet standards.
• Assist in the development of documentation, manuals, and best practice guidelines.
• Comply with all OSHA regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the electrical field.
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Strong grasp of electrical theory and principles.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
• Solid technical knowledge.
• Effective project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in terms of time and budget.
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Self-motivated with proficient time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Experience in installing rigid pipe or EMT.
• Knowledge of transformer operations.
• Experience working with 480V, 3-phase systems.
• Familiarity with EV charger installations.
• Understanding of PPE and OSHA standards.
• Experience with DC circuits up to 1500V.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Journeyman electrician license.
• Experience in commercial and industrial solar projects.
• Knowledge of solar PV system design and installation.
• NABCEP Certification.
