At Soho House, the Club Reception plays a crucial role in providing a warm welcome and seamless service to all members and visitors. As a Club Receptionist, you will manage various responsibilities across our properties, including overseeing the reception area, assisting in the Restaurant and Rooftop, and handling Guest List duties.
We are looking for a personable and professional individual who excels in communication and has a knack for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet every member by name (if local) and ensure guests feel valued and welcomed.
- Manage high-volume phone inquiries related to restaurant, rooftop, and cinema reservations, as well as general questions and messages.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of menus, operational hours, and amenities available.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Execute Guest List responsibilities on the club floor and Rooftop as needed.
- Address guest concerns promptly and effectively, ensuring a positive experience.
- Assist guests with their belongings, including coats and personal items.
- Foster relationships with members and guests, relaying feedback to management for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to a vibrant and friendly atmosphere through professionalism and approachability.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in managing high-volume phone lines and inquiries with professionalism.
- Familiarity with OpenTable, Salesforce, and Opera is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.
- Detail-oriented with the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands.
- Capability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
- Ability to move quickly between different areas of the club.
- Must be able to lift, carry, or pull at least 40 pounds.
- Occasional kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing may be necessary.
